• At about 2:30 PM on June 17, a barrier malfunction in the Borgori-Wald enclosure enabled the juvenile orangutans Bukit and Yori and their mothers Rosa and Indah to slip out.
• Zoo staff activated emergency protocols and calmly guided hundreds of visitors to safety following the escape.
• Caretakers used verbal cues and food rewards to lure all four orangutans back to their indoor habitat by 3:45 PM without incident.
• No injuries were reported among animals or visitors, and the zoo reopened its gates roughly an hour after the breach.
