Four Naxals and One Policeman Killed in Chhattisgarh Gunfight

A joint operation in the dense Abujhmaad forest led to the elimination of insurgents and the loss of a District Reserve Guard head constable.

The encounter occurred in the South Abujhmaad forest near the Narayanpur-Dantewada district border in Chhattisgarh on Saturday evening.
Four Naxal insurgents were killed, and security forces recovered automatic weapons, including AK-47 and self-loading rifles, from the site.
Head Constable Sannu Karam of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) lost his life during the operation.
The joint effort involved police teams and DRGs from multiple districts, along with the Special Task Force (STF).
Operations in the rugged Abujhmaad region have intensified in recent years, with significant progress reported in dismantling Naxalite strongholds.
