Four Men Arrested in Phoenix Home Invasions as Police Seize Guns and Suspected Fentanyl

Detectives traced a red Honda Civic through cameras and license-plate readers to identify suspects.

Overview

  • Police say two armed break-ins on Sept. 29 and Oct. 8 left victims unharmed but traumatized, including a 10-year-old girl who was threatened at gunpoint and forced around her home.
  • Investigators believe the homes were selected after recent appliance deliveries, and court records list one suspect as a Temco Logistics delivery driver.
  • Search warrants executed on Dec. 17 recovered five rifles, more than 10 handguns, ammunition and about 7.5 pounds of suspected fentanyl.
  • Court documents say Scarlyn Lebron Ogando admitted involvement after his Dec. 2 arrest and named an alleged organizer called “Valenzuela,” while Josue Rafael Colon Rodriguez reportedly admitted acting as a lookout and two others denied involvement.
  • Ogando, Rodriguez, Darol Daniel Garcia Santana and Ronnie Baez were booked on armed robbery charges, and Ogando also faces a count for possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
