Four Injured in Ottawa Transit Assaults, Suspect Charged by Hate Crime Unit

A 26-year-old man allegedly made hate-filled comments while attacking passengers on buses and trains, according to Ottawa police.

Police responded to an assault report on an LRT train near Tunney's Pasture around 10:50 a.m. Monday.
The suspect allegedly assaulted four people while making hateful remarks on various OC Transpo buses and trains.
All four victims sustained serious injuries from the attacks.
The 26-year-old man faces multiple charges, including two counts each of assault and assault with a weapon.
The charges were laid by the hate and bias crime unit, and police thanked bystanders who provided first aid.
