Overview
- Police were called at 01:08 on 21 September to reports of a man threatening people with a knife in Leicester Square, Westminster.
- Officers found four men in their 20s and 30s with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
- A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon, affray and possession of a Class B drug.
- Online footage shows members of the public and security staff pinning the suspect, and a guard appearing to recover a knife from the ground.
- Enquiries are ongoing, and police are appealing for witnesses via 101 or online quoting CAD 445/21SEP, or through Crimestoppers anonymously.
