Overview

  • Four Indian schools—Government Girls Senior Secondary School NIT-5 in Faridabad (Supporting Healthy Lives), ZP School Jalindar Nagar in Pune (Community Collaboration), Ekya School J P Nagar in Bengaluru (Innovation), and Delhi Public School Varanasi (Environmental Action)—are among the top 10 finalists for the World’s Best School Prizes 2025.
  • The awards, organised by UK-based T4 Education, were founded after the COVID-19 pandemic to showcase schools’ contributions across Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity and Supporting Healthy Lives.
  • Government Girls Senior Secondary School NIT-5 secured its nomination by integrating nutritional programmes, physical wellbeing initiatives and mental health support to uplift at-risk girls.
  • ZP School Jalindar Nagar’s peer-led Subject Friend system and Ekya School’s human-centred Design Thinking curriculum highlight finalist schools’ emphasis on student-led learning and creative problem-solving.
  • All finalists will take part in a public vote for the Community Choice Award, with winners revealed in October and invited to share best practices at the World Schools Summit in Abu Dhabi on November 15-16.
