Overview

• The holdup spree began at 11:30 p.m. with a 47-year-old woman robbed in the 3400 block of North Broadway in Lakeview
• Two masked Black male suspects armed at least one with a laser-equipped handgun forced victims to change phone passcodes before seizing belongings
• The robbers then struck a 23-year-old woman on North Pine Grove and a 21-year-old woman on West Roscoe before targeting a 20-year-old DePaul University student on North Sheffield
• They fled in a white SUV that police later found abandoned in the 4300 block of West Gladys in West Garfield Park less than 30 minutes after the first robbery
• No injuries were reported and Area Three detectives continue to pursue leads to identify the two armed suspects
