Overview
- Police said Sheik Munni, 28, and her seven-year-old son fell into a fast-flowing drain in SM/SN Colony when a stone slab cover gave way around 8 pm Friday.
- Neighbour Ganesh, 25, tried to pull them out but was swept away by the current, and all three were later found dead.
- Officers said Munni had stepped out during a power cut to fetch a candle when the slab broke outside her home.
- In a separate incident near the Four Taps area, an eight-year-old girl returning from tuition exited an autorickshaw and was washed away; her body was recovered Saturday.
- Police said the driver moved six other children to safety and confirmed that investigations are underway following the recovery of all four victims.
