Four Charged After Bloomington 'Operation Creep' Sting That Netted 16 Arrests, Including an ICE Auditor

Evidence on the remaining arrests is now with the Hennepin County Attorney for charging decisions.

  • The three-day undercover operation began Nov. 5 and involved Bloomington police, the Minnesota BCA, and departments from Eden Prairie, Richfield, Roseville, and MSP Airport Police.
  • Undercover officers posed as a 17-year-old, leading to arrests of men ages 18 to 49 on suspicion of soliciting a minor.
  • Charged so far are Alexander Steven Back, 41, an ICE civilian auditor, plus Sasenarine Ghamandy, 52, Emmanuel Lopez, 29, and Nicholas Daniel Schaitberger, 36.
  • Schaitberger faces an additional charge for possessing more than 10 grams of methamphetamine, and police say some suspects arrived with drugs and firearms.
  • Police identified other arrestees as public employees, including a DHS civil worker, a Minnesota Pollution Control Agency employee, and a Metro Transit bus driver.
