Overview

• On the night of July 11–12, four bike-borne men intercepted a couple’s SUV near Best Tech Mall in Mohali wearing Nihang attire.
• They assaulted the male passenger and confined the woman in the vehicle before pushing her out on Airport Road roughly half an hour later.
• Police combined CCTV and toll-plaza footage analysis with a confidential tip to trace the stolen SUV to a gurdwara in Shahbad, Haryana.
• Authorities took into custody Shamsher Singh, Satnam Singh, Nirmal Singh and Chander Mohan alias Jaildar after locating them at a gurdwara in Shahbad.
• Interrogators are examining whether the men had links to other robbery rings and confirming their plan to sell the SUV in Delhi.
