Four Arrested After Scarborough Crash Involving Allegedly Stolen Vehicle
Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating after a collision left six injured, including four suspects, and damaged a bus shelter in Toronto.
- The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Brimley Road in Scarborough, Toronto.
- One of the vehicles involved, a Honda CRV, was reported as stolen and was carrying five occupants at the time of the collision.
- Four individuals from the stolen vehicle—two men, a 15-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old boy—were arrested and hospitalized with serious but stable injuries.
- A 51-year-old driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, and another person in the same vehicle was taken to the hospital for assessment.
- The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is examining the incident, as police were conducting mobile traffic enforcement and had been following the stolen vehicle shortly before the crash.
