Overview

• The Carabinieri Roma-Quirinale reconstructed the April 6, 2024 attack using surveillance footage, database checks and multiple witness testimonies to identify eight suspects.
• On ATAC line N201 near Piazza dell’Ara Coeli, four adults encircled a 25-year-old Libyan man, hurled racial slurs, spat on him and delivered over thirty seconds of kicks and punches before stealing his watch and phone.
• The victim was treated at Ospedale San Giovanni, where medical reports documented multiple fractures.
• Four adult suspects now face charges of personal injury and theft aggravated by racial hatred and have been placed under precautionary measures following a judge’s finding of racial motives.
