Foster Family Pleads Guilty to Abusing Turpin Children

Three members of a California foster family admitted to multiple charges of child abuse, including abuse of the Turpin children who had been previously tortured by their biological parents.

  • Marcelino Olguin pleaded guilty to lewd acts on a child, false imprisonment, and injuring a child.
  • Rosa and Lennys Olguin pleaded guilty to child cruelty, false imprisonment, and other charges.
  • The Olguins forced children to eat their own vomit, sit alone for hours, and endure other forms of abuse.
  • Six of the abused children were members of the Turpin family, who had been rescued from severe abuse by their parents in 2018.
  • The Olguins are scheduled to be sentenced on October 18, with Marcelino facing seven years in prison and Rosa and Lennys facing probation and work-release programs.
