Fortnite Introduces Tactical 5v5 FPS Mode 'Ballistic'

Epic Games' new first-person shooter mode launches in early access on December 11, bringing competitive, round-based gameplay to Fortnite.

Ballistic is Fortnite's first-ever first-person mode, featuring 5v5 tactical gameplay inspired by Counter-Strike and Valorant.
Players are divided into attackers and defenders, with attackers aiming to plant a 'Rift Point Device' while defenders try to stop them.
The mode launches with a single map called Skyline 10, a cyberpunk-inspired cityscape, and a limited selection of weapons and Flex Gadgets like bubble shields and frag grenades.
Both ranked and unranked play will be available, with ranked matches introducing penalties for early quitting and matchmaking based on party rank averages.
Epic Games plans to expand Ballistic with new maps, weapons, and features based on player feedback during the early access phase.
