Fortnite Ends Availability of Matte Black Master Chief Skin

Epic Games confirms the exclusive Matte Black style is no longer unlockable and offers refunds for recent purchases.

Epic Games announced that the Matte Black style for the Master Chief skin in Fortnite is no longer available to unlock.
The exclusive style was previously promised as unlockable at any time by playing on an Xbox Series X|S, but this is no longer the case as of December 2024.
Players who purchased the Master Chief skin on December 24, 2024, can request a refund without using a Return Ticket by contacting Epic Games Player Support.
The green Master Chief skin and a bundle featuring additional Halo-themed cosmetics are still available for purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop until January 1, 2025.
The decision has sparked disappointment among players, as many were expecting the Matte Black style to remain accessible indefinitely, per the original 2021 announcement.
