Fortnite Ends Availability of Matte Black Master Chief Skin

Overview

• Epic Games announced that the Matte Black style for the Master Chief skin in Fortnite is no longer available to unlock.
• The exclusive style was previously promised as unlockable at any time by playing on an Xbox Series X|S, but this is no longer the case as of December 2024.
• Players who purchased the Master Chief skin on December 24, 2024, can request a refund without using a Return Ticket by contacting Epic Games Player Support.
• The green Master Chief skin and a bundle featuring additional Halo-themed cosmetics are still available for purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop until January 1, 2025.
• The decision has sparked disappointment among players, as many were expecting the Matte Black style to remain accessible indefinitely, per the original 2021 announcement.
