Fortnite Brings Back Rare Renegade Raider Skin After Seven Years

The return of the iconic skin has sparked backlash from long-time players, while newcomers must meet XP requirements to unlock it.

The Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper skins, considered symbols of early Fortnite players, have returned to the OG Season Shop after seven years of absence.
Players must earn 1.5 million XP to unlock the Renegade Raider skin and 1 million XP for the Aerial Assault Trooper skin before purchasing them for 1,200 V-Bucks each.
Original owners of these skins from 2017 will receive exclusive new styles as a token of appreciation, set to arrive in spring 2025.
The skins and other OG cosmetics, including the Raider’s Revenge Pickaxe and Aerial Assault One Glider, will only be available until January 31, 2025.
The decision to reintroduce these rare skins has drawn criticism from veteran players, who argue it diminishes their rarity and the value tied to early commitment to the game.
