Overview
- Epic Games confirmed that Sora, Roxas, Kairi and Riku will be released as purchasable Fortnite skins when the v42.20 update goes live on Thursday, Sept. 17.
- A new cinematic trailer shows the four outfits based on Kingdom Hearts 2 designs and teases Keyblade-themed items, including a Keyblade pickaxe with a Fortnite Loot Llama charm.
- Reports and Epic teasers say the skins will appear in the Item Shop after the patch, but exact shop timing, V‑Buck prices and bundle structure have not been announced.
- A Kingdom Key Mythic weapon is widely reported to join the game with the collab, though Epic has not confirmed how the Keyblade will function in matches.
- The crossover dovetails with renewed Kingdom Hearts activity, such as KH4 and an anime, and continues Fortnite’s season strategy of staggered, monetized Item Shop drops that drive short‑term engagement and spending.
