• Cindy Sanchez, 47, of Fort Worth was arrested Thursday at Midway International Airport and faces two counts each of kidnapping, child abduction and unlawful restraint for allegedly taking the children without authorization.
• Aurora police responded to a 3:30 p.m. call in the 500 block of Rosewood Avenue after a woman claiming to act on the children’s mother’s behalf left with the 11-year-old and 13-year-old minors.
• Chicago officers, alerted by Aurora police, located Sanchez and the children at Midway Airport, where the two unharmed children were safely returned to their family.
• Investigators say the children’s father, who does not have legal custody, paid Sanchez to transport the minors to him in Mexico, but he has not been charged.
• Sanchez remains held at the Kane County Jail pending a pretrial hearing while authorities emphasize that no harm came to the children.
