Fort Worth Homeowner Critically Wounds Intruder in Early-Morning Invasion

Authorities have launched a manhunt for two armed suspects who fled after one intruder was critically wounded.

Overview

At about 3:15 a.m. Friday, several masked and armed men broke into a residence in the 1400 block of East Maddox Avenue in Fort Worth.
The homeowner fired back in self-defense, exchanged gunfire with the intruders and escaped through a window, suffering only minor leg cuts from broken glass.
Officers found one wounded suspect a block away and transported him to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Two additional suspects escaped the scene and have not been apprehended.
The Fort Worth Police Department’s Gun Violence Unit is leading the ongoing investigation.
