Overview
- Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes hosted an outdoor National Night Out block party on Aug. 5 to foster crime prevention awareness and strengthen ties between residents and law enforcement.
- The event opened with a color guard presentation by the 10th Mountain Division Sustainment Brigade followed by Staff Sgt. Katherine Bolcar’s rendition of the National Anthem.
- Families toured a CH-47 Chinook from the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, met military working dog teams from the 7th Military Police Detachment and explored emergency services displays.
- The 10th Mountain Division Band provided live music as children enjoyed games, giveaways and interactive demonstrations with military police equipment.
- Partners from Fort Drum Child and Youth Services, the Suicide Prevention Program and the Wounded Warrior Project staffed information booths, and official photos are now available on Fort Drum social media.
