Formula E's Tenth Season Kicks Off with New Tracks and Mid-Race Charging

Gen4 car, expected to outperform Formula One, is on the horizon for 2027.

Formula E's tenth season starts this Saturday with a race in Mexico City, introducing three new tracks and the debut of Formula E’s new ultra-fast mid-race charging system.
The Gen3 car returns for season ten, with winter testing suggesting improved performance over last season.
New tracks include Tokyo, Shanghai and Misano, marking Formula E's first race in Japan.
Mid-race charging, initially planned for last season, is set to debut at the Misano Adriatico ePrix in Italy in April, charging cars at up to 600kW.
Looking ahead, the Gen4 car, expected to be tested in 2026 and raced in 2027, is predicted to outperform Formula One cars in terms of acceleration and speed.
