  • F1’s carbon footprint fell to 168,720 tCO2e in 2024, 26% below its 2018 baseline and more than halfway to its 50% reduction goal by 2030.
  • Renewable energy in team factories and facilities drove a 59% cut to plant-related emissions while biofuel trucks, efficient freighter jets and expanded remote broadcasting reduced travel-related emissions by 25%.
  • Formula 2 and 3 cars shifted to full advanced sustainable fuel in 2025, setting the stage for all F1 cars to run on the low-carbon blend in 2026.
  • Calendar changes such as moving the Canadian and Monaco Grands Prix into a consolidated European window will eliminate extra transatlantic freight legs from 2026.
  • Any emissions that cannot be eliminated will be offset through carbon credit programmes under best-practice guidelines, with F1 committed to setting new targets beyond 2030.
