Former YouTuber and Therapist Charged with Child Abuse for Allegedly Tying Up and Injuring Children

Jodi Hildebrandt and Ruby Franke were arrested on multiple felony child abuse charges after Franke's malnourished 12-year-old son escaped and reported the abuse.
The boy said Hildebrandt, a licensed therapist, tied him up with ropes which caused injuries that she treated with cayenne pepper and honey.
Police found ropes, handcuffs, bowls of pepper-honey mixture, and other evidence at Hildebrandt's home.
Franke's 10-year-old daughter was also found malnourished and reluctant to speak to officers.
Hildebrandt agreed to suspend her counseling license pending investigation, and the women remain jailed on $150,000 bond each.
