Former World Champion Cyclist Rohan Dennis Charged in Death of Olympian Wife Melissa Hoskins

Hoskins Allegedly Struck by Vehicle Driven by Dennis; Court Appearance Scheduled for March 2024

Former world champion cyclist Rohan Dennis has been charged with causing the death of his wife, Olympian Melissa Hoskins, who was allegedly struck by a vehicle driven by Dennis in Adelaide, Australia.
Reports suggest that Hoskins jumped onto the hood of the vehicle while Dennis was driving and he allegedly did not stop, leading to her falling and suffering severe injuries.
Dennis, who retired from professional cycling in 2023, and Hoskins, who retired in 2017, were married in 2018 and have two young children.
Hoskins was a successful track cyclist, becoming a world champion and setting a world record in 2015 as part of Australia’s women’s team pursuit quartet.
Dennis is due to appear in court in March 2024.
