Overview

  • O’Neill has lodged Federal Court proceedings against Wiggles Holdings, Anthony Field and general counsel Matthew Salgo alleging unpaid bonuses and breaches of the Fair Work Act.
  • He says his March 2024 contract promised a 5% annual bonus tied to EBITDA and a 7% exit bonus, yet he received only a $86,266 payment in July that he claims fell short.
  • Filings allege Field questioned his competence before staff in February, excluded him from an April Kmart meeting and curtailed his role ahead of his 28 May termination.
  • O’Neill reports objecting to a special bonus plan for a friend and his daughter’s boyfriend, plus hires and travel he says inflated costs, including employing a nephew and a New Zealand director.
  • The defendants have not filed a defence, a first case management hearing before Justice Michael Lee is listed for 8 September, and a Wiggles spokesperson says the claim will be defended.
