Former USC Quarterback Malachi Nelson Transfers to Boise State

Malachi Nelson, former USC quarterback and No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2023, is transferring to Boise State.
Nelson played in just one game for the Trojans last season and was expected to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 17.
Nelson's move to Boise State is seen as a sensible one due to an open path to playing time, following the transfer of starter Tayler Green from Boise State.
Nelson will likely compete with Maddux Madsen for the starting quarterback position at Boise State.
If successful, Nelson will be supported by one of the country's top running backs, Ashton Jeanty, who rushed for 1,347 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2023.
