Former USC Gynecologist Charged With Sexually Abusing Patients Dies Before Trial

George Tyndall was found dead in his Los Angeles home before his trial for allegedly sexually abusing hundreds of patients.
Tyndall worked at USC's student health clinic from 1989 to 2016 and was charged in 2019 with 29 felony counts of sexual assault.
In 2021, USC agreed to pay over $1 billion in settlements to more than 700 women who accused Tyndall of abuse.
The cause of Tyndall's death is still undetermined, with no immediate evidence of foul play or suicide.
Some of Tyndall's alleged victims expressed disappointment that he will not face trial over the sexual abuse accusations.
