Former Trump State Dept. appointee Federico Klein convicted on felony charges for assaulting police during Capitol riot

Federico Klein, a former State Dept. appointee under Trump, was convicted on felony charges related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Klein was found guilty of assaulting police officers in a tunnel near the Capitol building during the riot.
He was convicted on 7 felony counts including assaulting officers and obstructing congressional proceedings.
Klein's co-defendant, Steven Cappuccio, was also convicted on felony assault charges.
Over 140 police officers were injured during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol by Trump supporters.
