Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg Released, Helped Prosecutors Convict Company

Allen Weisselberg, former Trump Organization CFO, has been released from jail after serving 100 days of his 5-month sentence for tax fraud and other crimes.
Weisselberg was the star witness for prosecutors in the corporation's tax fraud trial, which resulted in two Trump Organization companies being found guilty of 17 counts related to tax fraud and other charges.
Weisselberg spent nearly half a century working for the Trump Organization and was for decades former President Donald Trump's right-hand man at the company.
Weisselberg pleaded guilty in August 2022 and agreed to testify against the company as part of a deal with prosecutors.
The Trump Organization blamed Weisselberg for the conviction, but Weisselberg testified about a series of schemes used by Trump Organization executives to avoid taxes and payroll liability on large bonuses and luxury benefits.
