Former Trump Lawyers Testify Against Him in Georgia Election Interference Case

Ex-Trump attorneys Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, and Jenna Ellis pleaded guilty in conspiracy prosecution for trying to subvert Georgia's 2020 presidential election and agreed to testify against Trump and other co-defendants.

Former Trump lawyers Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, and Jenna Ellis have pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against him in the Georgia election interference case.
Powell, Chesebro, and Ellis made plea deals with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, which require them to testify truthfully and carry no jail time in exchange for lenient sentences.
Michael Cohen, another former Trump lawyer, who pleaded guilty to unrelated charges in 2018, has also testified against Trump in New York Attorney General Letitia James’s civil fraud case.
The pleas of Ellis, Chesebro, and Powell pose a significant risk to Trump as they were considered senior participants in the alleged scheme to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.
Upon pleading guilty, Ellis expressed remorse, stating if she knew then what she knows now, she would have declined to represent Trump in the post-election challenges.
