Overview

  • Magdamit worked as a letter carrier at the Torrance Main Post Office and stole mail items including checks, debit cards and credit cards from at least 2022 until July 2025.
  • A December 2024 search of her Carson apartment yielded 133 stolen payment cards, 16 U.S. Treasury checks, luxury goods and an unserialized ghost gun, and a July 1 raid uncovered additional cards.
  • She activated stolen cards for personal purchases, sold some to co-conspirators and enlisted others to cash checks using counterfeit identity documents, according to her plea agreement.
  • Authorities say she used the proceeds to finance vacations in Turks and Caicos and Aruba and to purchase high-end items that she showcased alongside stacks of cash on Instagram.
  • The scheme was investigated by USPS OIG, the Postal Inspection Service and TIGTA and is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Major Frauds Section with Magdamit agreeing to forfeit a Rolex and other luxury goods.
