Former Spartak and Lokomotiv Forward Mukhsin Mukhamadiev Dies at 59

FC Istiklol said he suffered a February stroke, later apoplectic episodes, then a November ICU stay on ventilator support.

The Tajik club issued the announcement on X, which RIA Novosti relayed on January 1.
He was hospitalized in mid-November in a Moscow clinic after a stroke earlier in the year and was placed on mechanical ventilation.
From 2022 to 2024 he served as first vice president of FC Istiklol after previously coaching the team.
As a player he featured for Spartak Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow and other Russian clubs, winning the 1994 league title with Spartak.
He later worked as Rubin Kazan’s sporting director during two Russian championship seasons, and he earned one cap each for Tajikistan and Russia.
