  • He was struck by a Toyota RAV4 near the Centinela Avenue off-ramp of the 90 Freeway in Los Angeles around 2 a.m. on Sunday and was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner ruled blunt traumatic injuries as his cause of death and the California Highway Patrol is leading the inquiry.
  • At San Jose State from 2010 to 2013, Jones set school records with 248 receptions and 29 touchdown catches and earned first-team All-Mountain West honors in 2013.
  • Nicknamed “The Jet” at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, California, he still holds the school records for longest kickoff return and longest fumble recovery.
