  • Amandeep Kaur, dismissed head constable known as the ‘Instagram Queen,’ was arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau on May 26 under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
  • Investigators determined her expenditure of Rs 1.39 crore between 2018 and 2025 exceeded her total declared income of Rs 1.08 crore by Rs 31.27 lakh.
  • The authorities froze assets valued at Rs 1.35 crore, including a Bathinda residential building, a plot in Dream City, a Mahindra Thar SUV, a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle, a Rolex watch, three mobile phones and her bank balance.
  • Kaur was earlier dismissed from service and granted bail on May 1 after her April 2 arrest for carrying 17.71 grams of heroin in her Mahindra Thar during a routine check.
  • She is in two-day remand with further investigation underway into her alleged misuse of office and unexplained wealth.
