Former Penn State Football Players Face Rape Charges

Coach James Franklin declines to comment as two ex-players await hearings on serious allegations.

Jameial Lyons and Kaveion Keys, both 19, are accused of raping a 17-year-old student at their on-campus apartment in July.
The charges include felony rape, aggravated assault without consent, and other sex crimes, with bail set at $500,000 for Lyons and $400,000 for Keys.
Penn State suspended the players in August and they are no longer enrolled at the university.
During a press conference, Coach Franklin repeatedly refused to discuss the case, deferring to a prepared university statement.
A preliminary hearing for the former players is scheduled for October 30, as the investigation continues.
