Former Oregon Football Player Ryan Pellum Arrested on Assault Charges

Ryan Pellum, a former Oregon Ducks wide receiver, was arrested in Springfield, Oregon, on January 8 following an extradition warrant from Long Beach, California.
The charges stem from a Christmas Day incident in which Pellum allegedly struck a person with a 9mm pistol, causing a head injury that required stitches, and fired two shots in an unknown direction.
Pellum, a four-star recruit and freshman who recently entered the transfer portal, played one season at Oregon but appeared in only one game before redshirting.
He was released on bail on January 9 after waiving extradition, with his next court appearance scheduled for January 23 in California.
Oregon's athletic department confirmed Pellum is no longer enrolled at the university or a member of the football program.
