Former Olympic Boxer Félix Verdejo Found Guilty in Death of Pregnant Girlfriend

Verdejo was convicted on charges of kidnapping resulting in death and causing the death of an unborn child.
Verdejo's pregnant girlfriend, Keishla Rodríguez Ortiz, was found dead in a lagoon in 2021 after being injected with drugs, punched, and thrown off a bridge.
The jury was unable to reach unanimous verdicts on two additional charges against Verdejo.
Verdejo faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced on November 3.
The case sparked protests in Puerto Rico against gender violence.
