Former NHL Star Sergei Berezin Passes Away at 52

The ex-Toronto Maple Leafs winger, known for his scoring prowess, died suddenly; cause of death undisclosed.

Berezin played five seasons with the Maple Leafs, scoring over 20 goals in four of them.
He achieved career highs with 37 goals and 59 points during the 1998-99 season.
Berezin also played for the Coyotes, Canadiens, Blackhawks, and Capitals in his seven-season NHL career.
Post-retirement, he enjoyed coaching minor hockey, playing tennis, and spending time with his family.
The NHL Alumni Association and Maple Leafs expressed their condolences to Berezin's family and friends.
