Former Nebraska and CFL star Dahrran Diedrick dies at 44 after battle with cancer

Diedrick was a Canadian running back who played 10 seasons in the CFL and won three Grey Cup titles.
He rushed for over 1,000 yards with Nebraska in 2001 and helped the Cornhuskers reach the national championship game.
Diedrick played most of his CFL career with the Montreal Alouettes, where he was a teammate of quarterback Anthony Calvillo for eight seasons.
He was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma in 2014 and retired after that season.
Diedrick's former coaches and teammates remembered him as a physical player and good friend.
