Former Massachusetts Officer Charged with Assault at Disney World

Duane Danforth, a 38-year-old Massachusetts police detective, was arrested for allegedly assaulting Disney World employees and a deputy sheriff.
The incident occurred at Epcot's United Kingdom Lochside during a private event on January 30.
Danforth, who was intoxicated and holding a child, is accused of shoving a deputy and threatening to kill staff members.
He has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
Danforth was named Officer of the Year in 2021 and is also a United States Army veteran.
