Overview

• Magdalena Sadlo pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply cocaine, cannabis and ketamine and to laundering criminal proceeds and received a 14-year term at Carlisle Crown Court.
• Prosecutors described her as the cartel’s “business brain” who prepared detailed accounts and tracked profit margins, costs and stock levels for Middle East–based crime bosses.
• Police evidence showed she trafficked nearly 300 kg of cocaine in BMW ‘whistle-stop’ tours across England, including 33 kg to Manchester, over seven trips.
• She was arrested in February 2024 arriving from Dubai with luxury items bought with criminal cash, including a £130,000 Patek Philippe rose gold watch and a £30,000 Rolex.
• Operation Matrix has led to 13 convictions and prison sentences totaling more than 140 years for the international trafficking network.
