Former Harper ISD Teacher Re-Arrested on Six New Counts After Videos From School Dressing Room Found

Bond is set at $300,000 following a second arrest tied to cloud evidence.

Overview

  • Pedro De Luna III was first arrested on Dec. 1 on an invasive visual recording charge linked to an alleged Nov. 7 incident involving a 15-year-old at his home.
  • Investigators obtained his digital cloud storage with a warrant and found several recordings of young females, including footage from a Harper High School theater dressing room.
  • He was re-arrested at his Harper home on Dec. 5 on six additional counts: three for invasive visual recording in a bathroom or dressing room and three for possession, promotion or production of certain visual materials depicting a child.
  • Sheriff Chris Ayala said he personally made the arrest, and the sheriff’s office is contacting parents of those who may be affected as the investigation continues with the possibility of more charges.
  • Harper ISD said De Luna, a second-year employee serving as assistant band director, theater teacher and elementary music teacher, was placed on leave in November and resigned on Nov. 10, and the district is cooperating with investigators.
