Former Germany Goalkeeper Merle Frohms Loses Starting Role at Wolfsburg

Coach Tommy Stroot clarified that the decision is unrelated to Frohms' expected transfer abroad this summer, which is not yet officially confirmed.
Frohms lost her position as Germany's national team goalkeeper before the 2024 Olympics and subsequently retired from international football in September 2024.
Despite the setbacks, Stroot emphasized Frohms' professionalism and commitment, stating she will still have opportunities to play this season.
