Former Editor of The Recount Charged with Child Pornography

Slade Sohmer faces multiple counts of possession and dissemination, with authorities expecting to level more charges.

Slade Sohmer, former editor-in-chief of The Recount, has been charged with multiple counts of child pornography possession and dissemination.
Sohmer allegedly disseminated hundreds of child pornography images and videos, some of which included toddlers.
Authorities were tipped off by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and traced the content to Sohmer's home IP address.
Sohmer was released on $100,000 bail and faces a mandatory sentence of 10 years if convicted of dissemination and another five years if convicted of possession.
Authorities expect more charges to be leveled against Sohmer once they finish scanning his devices.
