Former Duke QB Maalik Murphy Transfers to Oregon State

Murphy, who set a school record at Duke, will have two years of eligibility with the Beavers after entering the transfer portal earlier this month.

Murphy set a Duke school record with 26 touchdown passes in the 2024 season, leading the team to a 9-3 record.
He entered the transfer portal on December 10, shortly before Duke secured Tulane transfer QB Darian Mensah.
Murphy began his collegiate career at Texas, where he served as a backup to Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning before transferring to Duke in 2024.
Oregon State sought a new starting quarterback after Gevani McCoy entered the transfer portal, with Murphy expected to compete for the role.
