Former Disney Channel Legal Executive Sues Disney Over Pay Disparity, Retaliation

The complaint follows a $43.25 million gender‑pay class settlement at the company.

  • The suit alleges violations of California’s Equal Pay Act and unfair competition law, as well as FEHA retaliation and wage-related claims, and seeks a jury trial, back pay and reinstatement or front pay.
  • The case was assigned to Judge Brook T. Hammond on Aug. 25; Disney declined to comment and, per prior reporting, had not filed a court response by Labor Day.
