Overview

  • On June 7, Joseph’s BMW sedan struck a motorcycle ridden by 27-year-old Cody Morris on northbound U.S. Highway 75 in Richardson, Texas, killing her.
  • Joseph called police after the collision, and officers observed signs of intoxication before arresting him on misdemeanor DWI and felony collision involving death charges; he is being held without bond.
  • His arrest came on the eve of the DC DefendersUFL conference championship game against the St. Louis Battlehawks.
  • The 25-year-old was a second-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft and has since played for multiple NFL teams before joining the DC Defenders for the 2025 season.
  • In 2022, Joseph was questioned in connection with a fatal Dallas shooting but was cleared of any wrongdoing.
