• At Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on June 17, Wallis admitted to harassment without violence for leaving unwanted messages and a voice note to ex-wife Rebecca Wallis between February and March.
• District Judge Rhys Williams accepted a basis of plea and removed allegations of Wallis driving past Rebecca Wallis’s home from the charges.
• The hearing was adjourned until July 14 for sentencing, during which a pre-sentence report and psychiatric evaluation of Wallis’s mental state will be considered.
• Defence lawyer Narita Bahra KC said Wallis’s mental health deteriorated during their transition and requested a thorough assessment before sentencing.
• Wallis, who served as Bridgend MP from 2019 to 2024 and became the UK’s first openly transgender MP in 2022, was released on bail after entering the guilty plea.
