Former CIA Officer Sentenced to 40 Years for Espionage and Child Pornography

Joshua Adam Schulte, a former CIA officer, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for espionage and child pornography charges.
Schulte's actions, including the theft and transmission of classified CIA files to WikiLeaks, caused significant harm to U.S. national security.
The stolen CIA files, known as the Vault 7 and Vault 8 disclosures, were described as one of the largest unauthorized disclosures of classified information in U.S. history.
Schulte's crimes also included the possession and distribution of thousands of videos and images of child sexual abuse.
Despite being warned by the court, Schulte attempted to continue his crimes from behind bars, including planning to leak more classified materials.
