Former Canadian Olympic figure skater Alexandra Paul dies at 31 in multi-vehicle crash, infant son survives

year-old Alexandra Paul, who competed at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, was killed when a transport truck crashed into stopped traffic.
Paul's infant son was also in the vehicle at the time of the collision and survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred in a construction zone in Ontario when a truck plowed into a line of cars, hitting 7 vehicles total.
Paul won medals at international competitions and was remembered by Skate Canada as a dedicated athlete and role model.
No charges have been filed against the truck driver so far as the incident remains under investigation.
